The faculty board has decided on 7 June 2023 that project-bound positions will be open for both postdoctoral and doctoral projects. The distribution between project types is determined by application pressure and assessment is done by a joint evaluation committee.
Please note! During 2024 the call for funds for project-bound doctoral and post-doctoral positions will, on a trial basis, take place once during the year, as opposed to normally twice. The announcement will take place in autumn 2024 (opening date 15 August). The number of positions for the year 2024 is unchanged, which means that a total of 18 positions can be granted in the round.
Lead researchers submit a complete application to the contact person at their department. See the specific call.
Grants are divided between project-bound doctoral student positions and two-year postdoctoral positions based on the number of applications, as measured in percent of the number of applications. The program partially covers costs for salary, max 50%, of a 2-year postdoctoral position, as well as 70% of a 4-year doctoral student position.

Avtal om Läkarutbildning och Forskning (ALF) is an agreement concerning medical education and research. The national ALF agreement is between the government and selected county councils on cooperation for the education of physicians, clinical research and the development of health and medical care. The government is the principal for universities, and the regions are the principals for health and medical care.
