Representing the future of Swedish research, National Junior Faculty (NJF) aims to give this important group of researchers a strong and influential voice when addressing politicians, research funding bodies and the public.
National Junior Faculty (NJF) is an umbrella organization for future / junior faculties, representing early career researchers at eight of Sweden's major research universities: University of Gothenburg, Karolinska Institutet, Linköping University, Lund University, Umeå University, Stockholm University, Örebro University and Uppsala University.
NJF have had fruitful meetings with the Minister for Higher Education and Research as well as succesful discussions with the Swedish Research Council (VR).
To strengthen the voice of early career researchers in Sweden we are defining the situation of early career researchers at a national level. Therefore NFJ has created a survey that adresses various issues and provides information from all eight universities. The results from the survey has been adressed in debate articles as well as in a peer-reviewed submitted article. The results serve as background information in our communication with politicians and funding stake holders etc. both locally and nationally.
We have one representative in National Junior Faculty. If you have questions about National Junior Faculty contact us at: futurefaculty@sahlgrenska.gu.se
