
Through the initiative Gender mainstreaming of universities (JiHU), the state universities together with Chalmers University of Technology and Jönköping University had a special assignment from the Government to develop the work on gender mainstreaming during the period 2016-2019.
The programme period has ended and a final report was written and presented at the Vice-Chancellor’s strategy meeting on 11 May 2020. The lessons learned from this work were compiled in a final report that was discussed at the Vice-Chancellor’s Management Council and Vice-Chancellor’s strategy meeting. Continuation of JiGU – Gender mainstreaming
at the University of Gothenburg
The final report describes general planning and implementation, prerequisites for the work, recurring problems that have been identified in the activities, how the change work was organised and what activities were carried out. The final report also provides proposals on how the work on gender mainstreaming at the University of Gothenburg will be conducted moving forward.
In the Government’s public service agreements for 2020, all universities are instructed to continue working on gender mainstreaming. At the University of Gothenburg, the work will primarily be conducted within three focus areas (click on the three headings below to read more).
The entire operation is responsible for integrating and running the work on the three focus areas in its ordinary operational planning (to the extent that the operation is included) and equal opportunity plans.
The human resources unit has the overall coordination responsibility for the continuation of the JiGU assignment within the framework of the equal opportunity work.

Forskningsöversikt: sexuella trakasserier i akademin
Vetenskapsrådet har med anledning av #metoo tagit fram en forskningsöversikt som ger en aktuell bild av den forskning som finns i norden och internationellt om sexuella trakasserier i akademin. Författarna är Fredrik Bondestam och Maja Lundqvist vid Nationella sekretariatet för genusforskning vid Göteborgs universitet.
