Are you interested in collaborating with surrounding society, but feel that you never have the time to take the first step? Then the ‘Verification for collaboration’ (VFS) programme can help you!
VFS gives you access to funding and support in order to identify and carry out the first steps towards a collaborative project between academia and external actors.
Through VFS, we offer support for activities that help you shape and define a collaborative project.
Such activities may involve drawing up and presenting your prospective project, identifying potential collaboration partners, or meeting with such partners to define the project and your respective roles.
VFS funding is intended to give you the time to explore and frame common questions together with prospective collaboration partners – those you are already familiar with or those who are new to you. Such a collaboration should lead to value for all involved parties, with a long-term plan for continuation beyond the VFS programme.
INTEREST FORM Send in a short description of what activities you think may help you make contact with one or more non-academic partners, and/or define a collaborative project. Not in contact with a potential partner yet? No worries – fill in the interest form as well as you can, and we will help you from there.
FIRST MEETING One of our advisors will go over the interest form with you, discuss your goals, relevant activities, your long-term plan, and what support you can expect from us – through VFS or other internal or external funding instruments.
VFS APPLICATION Based on that discussion, the advisor writes a simple VFS application with you that they then present to our internal decision group. If the application is granted, you can then start the activities.
EXECUTION AND FOLLOW UP OF RESULTS The advisor will support you during the VFS activities. Once the activities are complete, we will follow up on the result with you, and thereafter the reimbursement will be transferred to your institution.
Note! Granted funds will be transferred to the department of the applicant after the activities have been conducted and reported.
