When registering an application in the Funding & Tenders Portal (formerly Participant Portal), the coordinator needs to enter a specific identification code, or 'PIC', for the University of Gothenburg.

Prisma is the application and project managment system used by Forte, Formas and the Swedish Research Council. As a researcher, you use Prisma to apply for funding and to manage your approved grants. The Head of Department (or equivalent) also signs applications and terms and conditions for awarded grants via the Prisma system.

In some cases, the Vice-Chancellor may award strategic co-financing for approved research programme applications, project grants and grants for research infrastructures.
The strategic co-financing of research projects and programs aims to increase international external research funding, support the most successful researchers and provide good conditions for recruiting younger promising researchers.
