  • Nobel Laureates visit Gothenburg

    [19 Jan 2024] In February, two Nobel Laureates in physics are visiting Gothenburg and give lectures. The laureate of 2023 Anne L¿Hullier cancelled her planned lecture in December and will now visit Runan at Chalmers University of Technology, February 26th. Furthermore will Alain Aspect, the Laureate in Physics from 2022, give a lecture February 7th at Wallenberg Conference Centre, Medicinareberget.

  • New councils and committees established

    [19 Jan 2024] The University-wide bodies consist of boards, councils, committees, and groups that support the University Management and the organisation in various matters, such as education, research and doctoral (third-cycle) education. At the turn of the year, a few changes were introduced regarding some of the University-wide bodies.

  • New rules for medicine reimbursement

    [16 Jan 2024] As of January 1, 2024, new procedures apply for applying for medication reimbursement. This is a result of changes in the collective agreement. Click on the heading to read more.

  • Ask researchers - a new digital concept during next year's School Program at the Science Festival

    [1 Dec 2023] Ask researchers is a new digital program idea to make research accessible to schools in an inspiring way.

  • Two of this year´s Nobel laureates are coming

    [22 Nov 2023] In the middle of December, two of this year´s three Nobel Laureates in Physics are coming to Gothenburg - Anne L'Huillier och Ferenc Krausz - to give lectures. Everyone is welcome to attend the lectures. ANNE L'HUILLIER'S LECTURE IS CANCELLED

  • Pitch your doctoral topic at the Science Festival

    [17 Nov 2023] There is now an opportunity to present at the International Science Festival Gothenburg with an "elevator pitch" on your thesis according to the 3MT (Three Minute Thesis) concept.

  • Do you want to collaborate with partners in South Africa?

    [16 Nov 2023] University of Gothenburg is part of the South Africa ¿ Sweden University Forum, SASUF, which addresses challenges related to sustainable development. There are opportunities to participate in the spring Research and Innovation Week in Sweden. Apply for a spot before November 17!

  • Nobel Prize laureate lecture in Gothenburg

    [13 Nov 2023] Every two years, the Nobel Week Dialogue is held in Gothenburg. In connection with it, students, doctoral students and employees are invited to this special lecture which is held in collaboration with Chalmers. On December 8, a Nobel laureate in medicine from 2021 will be here - Ardem Patapoutian.
