Vice-chancellor Eva Wiberg sends a big thank you to colleagues and students in this very different academic year and wishes everyone a wonderful summer.
“It has been over a year with the pandemic and a very special journey – for both employees and students. I am very grateful and proud of what our organization has achieved with the major transformation that the pandemic caused”, Eva Wiberg says in the film.
“Now summer is just around the corner and vaccinations are accelerating, we finally anticipate an opening. We feel hopeful that this autumn we will finally get to see more of each other in corridors and on campus. I wish you a nice and relaxing summer!”
GUS Chairman Karl Kilbo Edlund also thanks everyone for a year that has been tough as well as educational for both students and teachers, and wishes everyone a really warm and relaxed summer.
“Something that has become even clearer this year is how important social interaction is, for the study motivation, but also for our mental well-being. Therefore, it is even more important that we take care of each other and that our study environment is put in focus”, he says.
The film ends with musical students at the Academy of Music and Drama singing the Swedish folk song ‘In our meadow’. (Uti vår hage)
